The following are just a few of the many mandolins built by Jerry L. Rosa, Sr.  All mandolins are patterned after a 1924 Lloyd Loar "killer" mandolin that Jerry repaired many years ago.  Standard mandolins start at $5,995.  Custom mandolins will vary in price depending on the amount of customization.

Carmine D'Amico,  of New York - winner of 24 Grammy Awards, owns this F5C-10 String Custom  Mandolin completed on 4-19-98.

This mandolin has been on display at the American Guitar Museum In New York City.

Ken Stroker - 10-4-10, "El Tigre Rosa" (Tiger Rose) - F5 Standard

Back, Sides and Neck are curly (Tiger) Red Maple.  The top is Adirondack Spruce (Red Spruce) which was used on pre-war Martins and in the Gibson Lloyd Loar Mandolins of the 1920s.  In fact, this mandolin was carved within thousandths of an inch of the exact specs of a 1924 Loar once owned by Don Brown and is currently owned by Frank Ray of the band Cedar Hill.  All of the wood was hand selected by Jerry Rosa for this mandolin.  The clarity, volume, and depth of tone of this mandolin is comparable to any mandolin at any price.

Jerry Rosa  - 5-21-09, 1st "experimental" Sycamore Mandolin! - F5 Standard

The sycamore for this mandolin was actually cut down right here on the Valley Springs Ranch.  It was dried for approximately 1 year and the moisture content was verified before the instrument was built.  It has a very good tone and plenty of volume.  It stays in tune better than any mandolin I have ever seen.  Everyone comments on the wonderful tonal qualities.  Be the first to order your Sycamore mandolin!
